Textiles

Textiles have been part of the human experience from the beginning. Working with animals, agriculture, and more recently fossil fuels have enabled us to keep warm and create our homes as well as help with logistics and technology. Textiles are a key part of human creativity and self expression. This topic area will explore supply chains, fashion industry, fashion archive, (folk-costume collecting), geography, history, sociology and politics of clothing. Including repurposing, repairing and loaning.
