JAMES HEWINS

fiberglass

70cmL x 17cmW

This piece is inspired by the streamlined aesthetics of car body panels and wind turbine materials. It is designed to appear as a weathered fragment of a disused energy-harvesting machine from a speculative future.

James is a Southampton-based sculptor and rewilder with a BA in Fine Art from the Winchester School of Art. His work spans sculpture, sound, and digital 3D media, exploring themes of dystopia, ecological collapse, climate change, and speculative futures. James is particularly interested in how eco-materials and biomimicry design can help navigate and mitigate these issues.
